Registered Dietitian/ Nutritionist (RD, LDN)
I have 6+ years of experience as a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist along with a Master’s degree in Nutrition & Food Science.
I started out in the clinical inpatient setting but in 2019, took a leap of faith and started my own private practice, Pivot Nutrition, LLC. I feel extremely lucky to be able to do what I love every day!
All Foods Fit!
Food has been a big part of my life from day one… I was born on Thanksgiving! My parents also owned a grocery store and deli/catering business when I was growing up so cooking/food has always been a big part of my life.
I love everything about food and love to cook, explore new restaurants, try new foods, learn about food, and of course, EAT delicious food!
Certified Personal Trainer (CPT)
I’ve always been very active and I enjoy strength training, yoga, skiing, golf, and ice-hockey! I love helping active adults fuel for fitness & life and become their strongest self.
I recently earned my Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Nutrition and fitness go hand-in-hand and I help my clients get the most out of their training by learning how to fuel their body using a mindful and balanced approach.
Build a Solid Foundation
I started my private practice in 2019 on a mission to help active adults build a solid nutrition foundation to improve their health and quality of life. I specialize in performance nutrition and mindful eating (aka balanced fueling)!
I use a balanced & mindful approach that is personalized to your goals and lifestyle. My program is for you if you are looking to ditch fad diets and learn how to fuel your body, mind, & soul so you can feel your best and reach your goals in a balanced and sustainable way.
Performance/Sports Nutrition
From fitness beginners to seasoned athletes – I can help you optimize your performance and start fueling like a pro!
I help athletes ensure they are adequately fueling their body to perform, recover, and thrive by helping them formulate a fueling plan personalized to their sport(s) and individual goals.
Specialties: strength athletes, muscle building, endurance athletes, sports performance (hockey, football, soccer, & more), Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S), irregular menstrual cycle/women’s health issues.
Mindful Eating
What we eat is important, but how we eat is equally vital to our health and well-being. I embrace a food freedom mindset and help my clients develop a healthy relationship with food, which means ALL FOODS CAN FIT!
I’m here to help you incorporate strategies that allow you to listen to and honor your body’s hunger & fullness cues and foster a healthy relationship with food.
Specialties: stress/emotional eating, learning what your body needs, listening to your body, hunger/fullness cues, recovering from diet culture or a restrictive mindset
Balanced Mindset
I love a good margarita, restaurant happy hour, and having a good time enjoying food & drinks! I’m also about supporting your body and honoring your health.
Balance is key for a flexible approach that fits your lifestyle. All foods can fit into a healthy eating pattern!

Wife, Dog Mom, & Reggae fan
I live in Rhode Island with my husband Ed and our dog Jasper. My husband and I have been together for almost 15 years!
In my free time, you’ll find me cooking, strength training, attending a yoga or fitness class, walking with Jasper, skiing, golfing, trying new restaurants, reading, exploring philosophy & psychology, or spending time outdoors (preferably by mountains or water)!
Chances are you’ll find me listening to reggae when doing any of my favorite hobbies. My favorite bands are Slightly Stoopid & Rebelution.
Publications
In 2018, I authored a research article published in BMC Obesity discussing outcomes of a childhood obesity prevention intervention related to food parenting practices and diet and activity behaviors.
This was a research study and community nutrition intervention in a low-income area of Providence during my Master’s experience at URI.
Clinical Training
I have 5+ years of experience working in acute care and psychiatric hospitals across Rhode Island, serving patients with complex nutritional needs including heart disease, high cholesterol, diabetes, and disordered eating.
My clinical experience inspired me to focus on preventative nutrition and well-being to help reduce chronic disease risk and improve quality of life!
Professional Leader
I am Communications Chair on the Rhode Island Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics (RIAND) www.eatrightri.org and previously served as Co-President.
In 2021, RIAND helped encourage legislators to include dietitians in RI’s Telemedicine legislation- a huge win for dietitians practicing in RI!
University Level Educator
I have taught 2 semesters of Nutrition in the Life Cycle to undergraduate and graduate level students at the University of Rhode Island in 2019 and 2021.
Course content includes nutritional needs throughout the early life cycle including pre-conception health, fertility, pregnancy, lactation, infancy, early childhood nutrition & adolescent nutrition.
